The innovative software company Output Inc. reveals their first piece of hardware: a beautifully designed studio desk built for musicians called Platform.
Known for their brilliant Kontakt instruments such as Analog Strings, Exhale, Signal, and REV, Output once again breaks new ground with Platform. The company has taken on the studio furniture markets shortfall for well-designed, functional, and affordable desks that do not sacrifice style. Platform is a unique desk for music production and other artistic pursuits. It offers a complete creative space without the need to hack together a DIY desk using less-than-ideal materials or purchasing expensive high-end furniture.
This stunning studio or home office centerpiece features a bridge for studio monitors, 9U of rack space, sleek cable management, and an optional pull-out keyboard tray. Platform also ships with rack ears that can mount gear such as audio interfaces, effects units, and other equipment that’s hard to find a place for in small home studios. Platform is also designed with ergonomics in mind by centering the studio monitor bridge at an optimum listening position. Also, the desktop height ensures your arms rest at a “comfortable” 90-degree angle.
Our goal with Output is to help musicians, producers, and composers make music. Every musician wants a great desk at the center of their studio, and they’re just weren’t any like Platform. Most studio desks are either very cheap and flimsy or cost thousands of dollars. So we set out to build a beautiful piece of furniture that would inspire our customers to be creative. Built in the USA, Platform is constructed of 100% real wood from renewable sources and is available in Natural or hand-stained Kodiak Brown.
Output will also donate the proceeds from every desk sold to musician and environmentalist, Ryuichi Sakamoto’s foundation, More Trees. The donations will support their reforestation and carbon offset projects.
